A "shoot-a-thon" is a fundraiser where participants shoot free throws (or other shots) and solicit pledges from sponsors, who donate a set amount for each shot made or may provide a one-time donation. These events are a fun way for teams or organizations to raise money while also providing practice for athletes.

Shoot 360 Vero Beach uses "The Giving Zone", a third-party platform, that creates the website and collects payment.

Costs: 

Shoot 360 Vero Beach: one-time $100 deposit to reserve the shooting courts for the Shoot-a-thon on your requested date and time. 

 

The Giving Zone: Website is free to setup. The Giving Zone sets up everything for you! No setup fees, no monthly fees, no hidden fees & absolutely NO contracts! A fee is only taken when a credit card is used to donate online. That fee is 2.9% + $.30 per transaction for credit card processing plus a 5% Giving Zone fee. This is the only fee ever and is the same if you are a nonprofit.  If a donation is given in person in the form of cash or check they want to put that donation toward the player's page so that their goal bar goes up. There are no fees associated to this type of offline donation. If your project only ever gets offline donations - there are 0% fees.​​​
